For many of us, the last two years have been chaotic, disrupted, and full of uncertainty and grief. As we come out of this last chapter, and into the next, turning our minds toward gratitude and thankfulness can soften our hearts and plant the seeds of hope.

Gratitude is the state of mind of thankfulness. Just as in the cultivation of compassion where we may feel the pain of others, through gratitude, so we may begin to feel their joy as well.

In a serene setting, this intimate, half day retreat is an opportunity to explore gratitude and connect with self and others, to experience deep letting go and filling up, all in the company of horses and immersed in the beauty of nature. Guided meditation, small group discussion, silent walking meditation with the horses, as well as quiet reflection and journaling will round out the day.

Amanda Graham, LCMHC, has been practicing and teaching mindfulness and leading retreats and workshops for more than 20 years. With co-facilitator Jennifer Rousseau, equine specialist, and the Unbridled herd, participants will also experience the power of exploring stories as a healing practice, using images and collaboration with the group
